ComplianceShield was built after experiencing a PAGA settlement firsthand. We know how quickly statutory penalties and defense costs add up — and how few tools exist for small and mid-size California employers to stay ahead of wage and hour compliance.

Our mission is to bundle what we wished we had: software that plugs into your existing payroll and timekeeping to monitor the five primary PAGA violation categories, plus specialty insurance that actually covers PAGA and wage-hour claims when standard EPLI does not.

We focus on businesses that don’t have in-house HR or employment counsel — trades, hospitality, retail, home services — and help them document "reasonable steps" so they can qualify for reduced penalties under the 2024 PAGA reforms, and get covered if a claim is filed.
